What Is The Application Deadline For IGNOU's Online MBA Programs?

The admission process happens twice a year. The first cycle is in January and the second one is in July. If you’re applying for the online MBA program, you can visit IGNOU’s official website (onlinerr.ignou.ac.in) during these months. Check the website to know the last date for applications. For the January cycle, you can apply until March 20, 2024, with a late fee of 200.

IGNOU online MBA Provide the cheapest online MBA in India. It is two years long and consists of 4 semesters. Each semester has a fee of INR 15,500, hence, the total course fee is INR 62,000.

Any candidate with a bachelor’s degree of at least three years duration, awarded by any recognized University/Institution with aggregate marks of 50 percent for general students and 45 percent for the reserved categories is eligible for an Online MBA from IGNOU. There is no age bar.

The admission procedure for an Online MBA from IGNOU is very simple and straightforward. Students have to register themselves on the official website of IGNOU and apply for the OPENMAT exam. After the successful compilation of the application form for the Online MBA, IGNOU issues a notification for a schedule of the OPENMAT exam, and Admit card is also issued at the same time. Students can easily download an Admit Card from the official website. After releasing the admit card for OPENMAT, the exam is conducted by IGNOU and students are selected based on their performance in the exam and cut off.

IGNOU’s Online MBA course offers specializations in Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Operation Management, Marketing Management, and Services Management. The program consists of 28 courses totaling 116 credit points. There are 20 core courses (80 credit points) and 7 courses for each specialization (28 credit points). Additionally, there is an 8-credit project course. In the first semester, students take 7 compulsory courses (MMPC-001 to MMPC-007).

IGNOU has an active Placement Cell in existence since 2005 that provides placement opportunities to the students depending upon the requirement and matching of a particular job with the skills and qualifications of the student. This portal will permit students, alumni, and also employers to log in and participate in placement events and listings.

Exams happen twice a year, in June and December, corresponding to the admission cycles. The exams during the semester count for 70% of the final grade. If a student doesn’t pass, they can try again in the next cycle or until they finish the program.

At IGNOU, students are graded based on assignments and exams, with 30% of the final grade coming from these assessments. IGNOU offers an online platform for submitting assignments and tracking progress. It’s important to submit assignments on time, with up-to-date content and thorough research. Assignments must be original and free of plagiarism, maintaining high quality. The student’s performance is closely watched, considering exams, assignments, and overall work.

Sessions of Interactive Radio Counseling (IRC) are arranged daily with the cooperation of 21 schools, STRIDE, RSD, and other IGNOU divisions for the benefit of students. Every day, there are two live sessions that air on FM Gyanvani Delhi and online at Gyandhara. The programs run from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, with repeats airing from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Additionally, a special IRC session for Students Support Services is held every Thursday from 4-5 pm. Periodically, other special IRCs focusing on various themes and issues are also held. With the help of phone calls, emails, or chat rooms on Gyan Dhara, students can engage with teachers and professionals in real-time discussions about the subject matter.
