The admission process carries twice a year. The first cycle is in January and the second one is in July. Any candidate with a Graduation degree of at least three years duration, completed from any UGC recognized University/Institution with aggregate marks of 50 percent for general students and 45 percent for the reserved categories is eligible for an Online MA from IGNOU. There is no age bar.

There are 20 core courses (80 credit points) and 7 courses for each specialization (28 credit points). Additionally, there is an 8-credit project course. Sessions of Interactive Radio Counseling (IRC) are arranged daily with the cooperation of 21 schools, STRIDE, RSD, and other IGNOU divisions for the benefit of students. Every day, there are two live sessions that air on FM Gyanvani Delhi and online at Gyandhara. The programs run from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, with repeats airing from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Additionally, a special IRC session for Students Support Services is held every Thursday from 4-5 pm.Â
